Tanzanian music lovers are still buzzing after Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu finally made it official on June 1, 2025 — and it seems even some of their closest friends didn’t see it coming!
Among those caught off guard was none other than Zuchu’s best friend and fellow Bongo Flava star, Nandy.
Despite their famously tight-knit friendship, Nandy confessed that she had absolutely no clue a wedding was in the works.
Speaking to Tanzanian YouTubers after an event on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the Nimekuzoea hitmaker revealed she only found out about the nuptials when she stumbled upon the wedding photos on Instagram — just like the rest of us.
“I wasn’t invited; it was a private affair, and everyone was surprised,” Nandy admitted with a smile.
“But I believe I’ll get an invite when they decide to hold a public ceremony.”
While fans might expect her to have plenty of relationship advice for her newlywed bestie, Nandy was quick to shut that down — and for a wholesome reason.
She explained that her bond with Zuchu runs so deep, their friendship is built on constant chats, shared secrets, and ongoing support. Meaning? Any advice she might have has already been served up in countless heart-to-hearts behind closed doors.
“To be honest, I can’t give her advice online because we talk so much and constantly advise each other,” Nandy said. “So my advice is already with her in plenty — and hers is with me in abundance too.”
The surprise wedding sent shockwaves through social media after Diamond Platnumz, ever the showman, announced the marriage through a string of heartfelt Instagram posts.
The announcement featured photos and videos from their wedding ceremony, including a touching clip of the couple exchanging vows before a religious leader. In another emotional moment, Zuchu is seen beaming with joy and exclaiming, “We are married!”
