Vera Sidika has addressed swirling rumors about her financial status following a lively club appearance in Busia.
The socialite and entrepreneur took to her Instagram stories to set the record straight, sharing a string of posts aimed at silencing the chatter.
“This narrative you all are forcing is funny, so let me just set the record straight so that everyone is happy and I can finally be at peace. Yes, I am broke, and it is not a crime to be broke. Hope you all can stop now,” Vera wrote with clear sarcasm.
Moments later, she doubled down with a follow-up post claiming that she is miles away from being broke.
“In other news, I can never be broke. Not in a million years. The previous statement is purely for the satisfaction of the haters.”
The speculation kicked off after Vera was spotted hosting a vibrant club night in Busia, where she danced with fans while rocking a bold blonde wig.
The event, a departure from her usual high-profile city gigs, led some to speculate she might be facing financial challenges. Others saw her presence in a smaller town as a so-called “recession indicator.”
Unfazed by the rumors, Vera hit back at critics, making it clear she’s just doing her job and connecting with fans across the country.
“Thank you Busia, love. I had fun — definitely will be back soon. Can’t I hustle in peace? If a club in Bomet books me, I will show up. I have fans everywhere in Kenya, so yes, I’m going to go,” Vera stated.
“It seems like Kenyans have learnt a new word: recession indicator. ‘Kwani’ what’s wrong with me making a club appearance in Busia?” she added.
Vera Sidika’s income streams are far from limited. Beyond her nightclub and event appearances, she runs several businesses including Veetox, a detox tea brand, and the Vera Sidika Beauty Parlour.
She’s also revealed a passion for drawing and painting.
Additionally, her massive social media following likely adds to her earnings through endorsements and sponsored posts.
