Kenyan choreographer and content creator popularly known as Collo Blue, has revealed an unexpected chapter of his life — he worked at a mortuary for five years.

Speaking during an interview on the Obinna Live Show, Collo surprised many fans by opening up about his experience and how it shaped him.

“I worked at a mortuary for five years, since 2021,” he shared. “I don’t like mentioning the mortuary’s name, but most of the people I know have met me there. I am a therapist, and a therapist’s work at a mortuary is to offer loss and grief counselling and that’s what I do.”

Although Collo is widely known for his electrifying choreography and content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, few knew about his background as a trained therapist. Before fully transitioning into the entertainment industry, he spent years offering grief counselling to bereaved families — a role he considers deeply meaningful.

Beyond his personal success as a dancer and performer, Collo is also the founder and CEO of Cluster KE, a creative collective committed to nurturing emerging talent and encouraging artistic innovation in dance and the broader arts community.
