Sauti Sol’s all-rounder — instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer Savara Mudigi — has opened up about why he decided to appoint his longtime girlfriend, Yvonne Endo, as part of his management team.
For Savara, it was a strategic move rooted in trust and genuine connection. He explained that Yvonne, being the closest person to him in his personal life, was naturally best placed to handle his affairs.
She acts as the central link between him and everyone else on his team, mostly because, in his own words, “she understands me better than anyone else could.”
In the often unpredictable world of showbiz, having someone who can decode your moods and intentions without needing a press release is priceless.
Now, while most creatives tend to avoid mixing business with romance — fearing conflicts of interest or emotional spillovers in professional decisions — Savara takes a different view. To him, family and love should come first in every aspect of life, including business.
He believes it’s wiser to surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you and would have your back through thick and thin.
“People who’d take a bullet for you,” he once quipped.

He also dismissed the assumption that working with a romantic partner is a bad idea, insisting that no one-size-fits-all rule applies in assembling a trustworthy team. What truly matters, he says, is building a circle where loyalty and genuine intentions come before titles and job descriptions.
Savara and Yvonne’s love story is one for the books. The two first crossed paths at the Africa Nouveau Festival in Nairobi back in 2018.
Yvonne and her sister were leaving the event when a slightly tipsy Savara approached them, cheekily introducing himself as a stripper before asking for her number — a move that, surprisingly, worked.
“That day I spotted two beautiful ladies, and because I was tipsy, I approached them and asked for her number,” Savara revealed
They began dating soon after, keeping things away from the public eye before finally revealing their relationship to fans a few years later.
Though the couple has been together for seven years now, they’re in no rush to officially tie the knot. In a past interview, Savara shrugged off public obsession with labels, noting that whether they’re married or dating is their business.
For him, what matters most is how one chooses to love — not how society thinks it should look. “Choose who to love, how to love, and where to love,” he mused.
