Kenyan musician Willy Paul has publicly called out the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), accusing the utility provider of causing significant damage to his recording studio equipment due to a sudden power surge.
In a statement shared on social media ,the artist expressed deep frustration over the incident, which he says resulted in substantial financial losses and disrupted his music production.
“KPLC, you must pay!! All my equipment is no more… not just me, the whole estate has lost valuables!! KPLC, you must pay me!!!” Willy Paul said.
According to the artist, the unexpected surge not only destroyed expensive gear in his studio but also affected other residents in his neighborhood, compounding the scale of the damage.
As of now, KPLC has not issued an official response to Willy Paul’s claims.
