The online feud between Kenyan and Tanzanian netizens has reached new heights following inflammatory comments made by Tanzanian influencer and Chief Godlove. Known for flaunting his lavish lifestyle on social media, Godlove has ignited fury among Kenyans by dismissing them as poor and inferior to Tanzanians.
In a recent media interview that quickly went viral, Godlove made sweeping and controversial claims about Kenyans’ economic status.
“You cannot compare Kenyans with us. All Kenyans are poor,” he declared.
He further escalated tensions by openly insulting Kenyans and dismissing their quality of life.
“Their lives are troublesome. Every Tanzanian cannot miss having TSh 10,000 (KSh 479) or go a couple of days without eating. Kenyans are hungry. Youths are jobless and only make money through crime.”
Godlove’s comments sparked a fierce backlash from Kenyans who accused him of arrogance and ignorance. Despite the criticism, the influencer doubled down on his views, claiming Tanzania has surpassed Kenya in wealth and prosperity.
“They are comparing stupid things. The young people whom they perceive to be rich, I can buy them and make them care for my dogs,” he added.
As the digital battle continues, Godlove’s remarks have only intensified the rivalry between the two nations’ online communities.
