During a recent interview on Dr Ofweneke podcast, fashion designer Bolo Bespoke opened up about the uphill battle he faced when choosing love over societal approval.
“Not just my close friends, but even people from my village were against it,” Bolo admitted. “It was a significant challenge. I kept trying to convince them until I reached a point where I didn’t need to anymore.”
Despite the challenges, Bolo spoke highly of his wife, praising her strength and authenticity. “Mueni doesn’t fake it—she’s genuine in everything she does,” he said, clearly in admiration of her.
The couple, who tied the knot in a traditional ceremony late last year, emphasized the importance of open communication in their marriage. Mueni echoed this sentiment, revealing that they discuss everything together, even down to the details of what they say in interviews.
“We plan it all out together,” she said
