Jennifer Lopez turned heads in New York City on Monday night as she stepped out for the Ring Them Bells benefit concert — an event held in honor of legendary composer John Kander’s 98th birthday.
But while the superstar dazzled on the red carpet, she also suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction that had cameras flashing for more reasons than one.
The 55-year-old singer, actress, and style icon arrived at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre wearing a striking silky peach gown by The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel.

Lopez’s gown featured a dramatically plunging neckline paired with a statement feather jacket in a matching hue. The look was styled by celebrity stylist Mariel Haen and completed with a rhinestone-studded clutch.
As Lopez made her entrance, with photographers eager to capture every angle, her gown shifted slightly — leading to an accidental nip slip right in front of the cameras.

Ever the professional, the Hustlers star carried on unfazed, confidently making her way into the venue.
The benefit, hosted by actor Alan Cumming, celebrated the career of Kander, famed for composing scores for iconic musicals such as Cabaret, Chicago, and Kiss of the Spider Woman — the latter of which is currently being remade into a film starring Lopez herself.

Later in the evening, Lopez switched up her look for the afterparty at Bryant Park Grill. She traded the daring peach number for an elegant, high-necked white gown by Stephane Rolland.
The sophisticated dress, adorned with shimmering stones around the collar and featuring a dramatic long train, kept her much more covered up, though it still packed a punch with a thigh-high slit. She accessorized the look with silver platform stilettos and a glittering silver clutch.
The appearance came just a week after Lopez revealed she’d suffered a minor face injury while rehearsing for the 2025 American Music Awards, which she’s set to host.
In an Instagram Story post, she shared a photo of herself holding ice to her right eye with the caption, “So this happened…”

Fortunately, with the help of Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond — and a lot of ice — she bounced back in time for her big night out.
Despite the wardrobe mishap, Lopez appeared to thoroughly enjoy the evening’s festivities.
