Kenyan gospel star Moji Shortbabaa recently opened up about one of the hot topics fans just can’t seem to leave alone — why he and his wife, Nyawira Gachugi, haven’t had kids yet, four years after saying “I do.”
Speaking in an interview on Radio 47, Moji revealed that while the pressure to start a family is loud on social media streets, it’s a different story at home.
“In my family, there’s zero pressure. My grandmother’s not stressing, nobody’s asking questions. It’s only outsiders who talk about it,” he shared with a laugh.
“People out there will pressure you about anything they want — it’s what they do.”

And when asked whether they’ve made a decision to delay having kids, Moji kept it honest and faith-filled.
“We haven’t really decided either way. A child is a blessing from God — whether you plan or not, when their time comes, they come.”
The singer also touched on why he personally avoids prying into other people’s parenting journeys. Moji, who was born when his mother was just 17, says it’s a sensitive topic for him.
“I don’t like making comments about kids in people’s marriages. Everyone’s story is different. As for us — people will just have to wait for the results,” he added playfully.
Meanwhile, two weeks ago, the lovebirds marked their 4th wedding anniversary in style!
Nyawira shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, reminiscing about their big day back in May 2021 at the beautiful Sovereign Suites.
“I remember how excited I was to be your forever wife! Being your friend was fun, now being your forever is even better. You’ve been everything I prayed for,” she gushed.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in May 2021 attended by close family and friends
