Kenyan rapper and entrepreneur King Kaka is stirring up something brand new — and it’s not another chart-topping single.
The celebrated artist has officially launched Let Him Cook, a one-of-a-kind cooking show that mixes food, culture, storytelling, and a healthy serving of breaking stereotypes about men in the kitchen.
The lively launch event went down at the Bio Food Products Ltd headquarters, drawing media personalities, fans, and partners eager to get a taste (literally) of what’s cooking.

The show will feature a part cook-off, part talk show, part cultural time capsule — with King Kaka at the helm.
“This is not just a cooking show,” King Kaka declared. “It is a space where culture, conversation, and creativity meet in the kitchen. We are telling our stories through food, and I am excited to do that with brands that value quality, health, and authenticity.”
Every Monday, Let Him Cook will dish out fresh episodes featuring celebrity guests from Kenya’s entertainment, business, and creative scenes — all united by their love of good food and good stories.
The show is a collaboration between King Kaka’s Kaka Empire and Bio Food Products Ltd, alongside Highlands Drinks Ltd and Ma Cuisine Ltd.
“Now more than ever, it matters who makes your food and how it’s made,” said Joachim Westerveld, Group CEO of Bio Foods, Highlands, and Ma Cuisine.
“We are proud to bring together brands that operate with the highest safety and quality standards, ensuring every ingredient on Let Him Cook is trustworthy, healthy, and truly Kenyan.” He added, “We are proud to partner with King Kaka on a show that celebrates real food and real stories.”
After the speeches and sneak peeks, guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes factory tour, tasty samplings, and the official signing of the partnership agreement — marking what’s likely to become one of Kenya’s hottest new shows.
“This partnership between Kaka Empire, Bio Foods Ltd, Highlands Drinks Ltd, and Ma Cuisine Ltd represents a bold move in Kenya’s branded content space,” noted Dennis Njenga, Co-Founder and Head of Talent at Kaka Empire.
“We’re proud to lead this collaboration, bringing authentic stories, trusted products, and high-quality entertainment to audiences across platforms.”
The first official watch party for Let Him Cook is set for Monday, May 19, 2025, with invited guests getting the exclusive first bite. For the rest of us, the kitchen doors open every Monday at 8 p.m. on King Kaka’s official YouTube channel.
This new venture also marks a fresh chapter for King Kaka, who’s been navigating a tough season in his personal life.

In December 2024, the rapper and his wife Nana Owiti publicly announced their breakup after 13 years together and three children, following months of speculation about their separation.
Back in mid-2024, King Kaka had dismissed the rumors, urging bloggers to tread carefully when discussing family matters.
