A second individual has been formally charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident at a London nightclub that allegedly involved American singer Chris Brown.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that 38-year-old Omololu Akinlolu, better known by his stage name HoodyBaby, is set to appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
The American rapper faces charges linked to an alleged assault that took place at Tape nightclub in central London in February 2023.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown, 36, was charged on Thursday with the same offence and has been remanded in custody by a Manchester judge until 13 June.
Brown is accused of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle during the incident.
During a hearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, Brown sat in the dock as brief details of the case were presented by prosecutor Hannah Nicholls. She described the alleged incident as “an unprovoked attack with a weapon in a nightclub full of people.”
Brown confirmed his name and date of birth during the proceedings but did not enter a plea. He is scheduled to appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing at a London court on 13 June.
