Kenyan actress Dorea Chege and her husband DJ Dibul pulled out all the stops to unveil their baby girl’s name in grand style — by hiring a chopper for the special moment.
The couple announced that their daughter is named Tipharah Meleah Wanjiku Ndegwa, a name rich with meaning and sentiment. Dorea shared the significance behind each of the names, explaining that Tipharah means beauty, glory, or adornment, while Meleah translates to something beautiful or pleasant.
The proud parents first announced their daughter’s arrival on March 24, affectionately calling her baby Wendo, a name they had previously revealed during their glamorous baby shower.
At the time, Dorea posted an emotional message from her hospital bed, celebrating the arrival of her long-awaited blessing.
“I fought for you, I prayed for you, I yearned for you. And now, holding you in my arms, I realize that all the sacrifices, all the struggles, were worth every single moment. Welcome to the world, our precious princess,” she wrote.
Dorea Chege shot to fame through her role in the hit local drama Maria, and later cemented her place in the Kenyan entertainment industry with appearances in popular productions like Selina and Pink Ladies, alongside stars such as Azziad Nasenya, Pascal Tokodi, and Shix Kapienga.
Interestingly, Dorea and DJ Dibul’s love story began back in high school during a mentorship program.
Dibul made the first move via Instagram, sending a simple “hi” after six months of keeping in touch. That message marked the start of their beautiful journey together — one that now includes their precious daughter, Tipharah.
