Things appear rocky in Jimal Rohosafi’s world as his lover, Wangari Thiongo, has officially bowed out of the social media scene. Just moments before disappearing from the online space, Wangari announced her departure with a final message on Instagram.
“Quitting social media, anyone interested in my pages, IG and TikTok can contact me via DM,” she wrote.
Wangari posted this message alongside an image of a counselling and psychotherapy facility, hinting that she might be navigating a rough patch in her personal life.
The internet personality, who also shares a daughter with businessman Jimal, recently shared a cheeky post on Instagram after Jimal paraded a new woman on his Instagram. Wangari’s post read: “Looking for a good therapist, for a friend 😂😂.”
The new lady in question, Bijou Dabijou, is a Rwandan model, influencer, and video vixen.
While Jimal has only referred to her as his “bestie,” fans haven’t missed the public displays of affection the two have been sharing online.
Bijou, who recently wrapped up her visit to Nairobi, kept her followers entertained with videos of her city adventures. In one memorable Instagram story, she was serenaded by a group of boda boda riders singing her a birthday song — after a man, widely believed to be Jimal, told them it was her special day.
Adding fuel to the gossip mill, Jimal posted a birthday message for Bijou with a rather eyebrow-raising video, captioned: “Happy birthday, bestie.”
Unsurprisingly, this stirred plenty of chatter online, with netizens quick to point out that Jimal had been treating Bijou to city tours and spoiling her with gifts during her visit.
Wangari, seemingly responding to all the noise without directly addressing it, posted a cryptic Instagram story before quitting social media.
The post left fans speculating about the state of her relationship with Jimal and whether the new “bestie” in town had something to do with her sudden exit.
For context, Jimal and Wangari made their relationship public in February 2023 after his messy and very public split from his ex-wife, Amira. The drama-filled breakup between Jimal and Amira played out online, complete with accusations of infidelity and alcoholism.
