Celebrated comedian, MC, and radio personality Dr. Ofweneke — real name Sande Bush — has spoken candidly about the reasons why his second marriage ended.
The media personality revealed that his nightlife habits played a major role in the relationship’s downfall.
Speaking during an interview on Radio 47, the entertainer opened up about his three-year relationship with Christine Tenderess, admitting that his lifestyle choices took a toll on their romance.
The couple had gone public with their relationship in 2019, shortly after Ofweneke’s highly publicized breakup with fellow media personality Niccah the Queen. Things seemed to be on the right track for the funnyman and Christine, culminating in a romantic engagement in 2021.
But behind the scenes, cracks had started to form.
“I was in the club almost every night,” Ofweneke confessed. “I lost track of time and would sometimes end up sleeping in lounges.”

He explained how his frequent nights out and heavy drinking left him emotionally unavailable and detached from his partner. The late nights, coupled with his indifferent attitude at home, created an emotional distance that gradually pushed Christine away.
“My behaviour never changed,” he admitted. “She was emotionally drained and gradually lost interest because I wasn’t present — neither physically nor emotionally. I couldn’t even handle small disagreements; instead, I’d run off to the club.”
Ofweneke took full responsibility for the breakdown of the relationship, acknowledging the hurt he caused and emphasizing that he has learned from his mistakes. He also used the opportunity to urge other men not to fall into similar patterns.
The comedian, known for his wit and charismatic stage presence, seems to be in a better place now.
In July 2024, he publicly introduced Mariam Baraza as his wife during a live TV show, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
