American dancer and entrepreneur Joie Chavis has once again found herself at the center of public drama with her baby daddy, Bow Wow.
Chavis, known for her past relationships with rapper Bow Wow and Future, also recently welcomed a baby girl with NFL player Trevon Diggs, making it her third child.
She however found herself having to respond to claims made by Bow Wow during his appearance on “Club Shay Shay” regarding their daughter, Shai.
Bow Wow asserted that he doesn’t pay formal child support to Chavis for their daughter, Shai, but instead sends money directly to the child, alleging that Chavis occasionally borrows from those funds.

Chavis swiftly refuted these allegations, taking to the comment section of The Jasmine Brand to clarify:
“Huh? That sounds crazy… Ask my daughter for money??? Wth,” she wrote.
This exchange reignited past discussions and accusations about Chavis’s financial independence and the dynamics of her co-parenting relationships.
In a previous YouTube Q&A session, Chavis addressed the “gold digger” label often associated with her due to her high-profile relationships. She emphasized her self-sufficiency, stating:
“I feel like a lot of people say that. I’m not. If that’s the case, I’d date everybody that tries to talk to me with money. I don’t, and I’m not a gold digger. I’ve worked since I was fifteen, like, I take care of my kids. I don’t get any child support.”
Chavis further elaborated on her approach to parenting, highlighting that she doesn’t rely on financial support from her children’s fathers:
“I don’t need to ask for anything for certain things my kids because I can do everything myself. If their father wants to do things for them and then they do that on their own time if they want to [say], hey, here’s some money for this or that, or you know whatever. But I don’t really ask for anything. I’m able to do everything on my own.”
Beyond her relationships with Bow Wow and Future, Chavis has also been linked to NFL star Trevon Diggs. The couple welcomed a daughter together, but Chavis confirmed their split in July 2024, responding to a fan’s inquiry on social media by stating their separation was “obvious.”
