Elon Musk is back in the headlines—this time for reportedly offering influencer Ashley St. Clair a massive payout to keep their child out of the spotlight.
Sources close to the situation say Musk offered St. Clair a one-time payment of $15 million and $100,000 per month in support, asking her to stay quiet about their baby.
It’s also reported that similar arrangements have been made with other women Musk has children with.
The child in question, whose name was kept under wraps for months, has now been revealed to be Romulus.
A paternity test confirmed that Musk is almost certainly the father, with a 99.9999% probability.
Back in February 2025, St. Clair publicly confirmed the birth of her son, who was born in September 2024, stating that Musk is the father.
She said she had kept the news private to protect her child but felt forced to speak out because of increasing media attention.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“But in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She emphasized wanting to raise her child in a safe and normal environment and asked the media to respect their privacy.
Then in March, things took another turn. St. Clair appeared in a video handing over her Tesla Model S, claiming she was selling it due to a 60% cut in child support from Musk.
Musk quickly responded to the video on social media, denying he had reduced support or retaliated financially.
“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed,” he wrote.
“Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5 million and am sending her $500,000 a year.”
Musk is currently a father to 14 children with four different women, including St. Clair.
