Chief Protus Wechuli, famously known as “Misheveve”, officially retired on Saturday in a colorful and emotional ceremony held in Saboti Constituency, Trans Nzoia County. The beloved administrator, known for his signature humor and strong rapport with residents, laid down his tools of office after serving for 18 remarkable years as Chief of Saboti Location.

The retirement ceremony was graced by hundreds of residents, local leaders, and colleagues who came to celebrate a man whose charisma and comic approach to public service made him a viral sensation online.

Wechuli earned the nickname Misheveve after a clip of him hilariously narrating a domestic tragedy—involving a man who killed his mother during a dispute over vegetables—went viral. His light-hearted yet impactful delivery turned him into a household name, admired across the country.
