Kenyan journalist Nick Mudimba has tragically passed away. Reports indicate that he collapsed at his home in Syokimau, Machakos County, on Sunday evening and did not survive.

Mudimba, a CGTN Africa journalist, had been unwell and was with his family when the incident occurred. Sources say he was diagnosed with high uric acid levels on Saturday.

After seeking medical attention on Sunday, he seemed to be recovering and even watched the Harambee Stars match against Gabon.

However, after taking his prescribed medication, he fainted, experienced convulsions, and could not be revived.

His body has since been moved to a mortuary in Syokimau as his family awaits an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Mudimba had a distinguished career in journalism, having previously worked with KTN and Switch TV before joining CGTN Africa as a senior reporter.

His passing is a great loss to the media industry and those who admired his work.
