Well, folks, that was fast! Comedian and content creator Kairu Wa Ndeiya barely had time to warm his seat at Inooro Radio before calling it quits—just two days in! Talk about a record-breaking career shift.
In what can only be described as a plot twist worthy of a prime-time soap opera, Kairu bid adieu to Royal Media Services in an official letter filled with gratitude.
“I sincerely appreciate the support, guidance, and collaboration from my colleagues and management,” he wrote. But behind the pleasantries, there was drama brewing.
Taking to social media, Kairu shared a heartfelt (and slightly heartbreaking) message: “You took me for a rival, but I am just a 20-year-old guy trying to make ends meet.”
The young comedian hinted at feeling outnumbered in the high-stakes world of radio, facing what he described as bullying from media veterans with over 15 years of experience.
The pressure? Too much. The mental stress? Overwhelming. Depression? A very real concern.
In his resignation letter, Kairu revealed that he had also been receiving threats and pressure from rival media personalities—turns out, the radio waves can get quite stormy!
While leaving was no easy decision, he ultimately chose peace of mind over a stressful work environment.
“I see your advice, but I will choose peace of mind. What is important is my mental health. I will not gamble with my health,” he told his fans.
“Once again, thank you for everything. I hope to stay in touch and wish the company continued success in the future,” he graciously signed off.
Fans and supporters have since flooded his social media with messages of encouragement, urging him to keep his head high and find a new path that truly makes him happy.
So, what’s next for Kairu? A return to comedy full-time? A new media gig? Or maybe a tell-all special spilling the tea on his whirlwind 48 hours in radio? Your guess is as good as mine.
