Kenyan rapper Stephen Otieno Adera, popularly known as Stevo Simple Boy, has revealed why he is currently single, attributing it to repeated rejection and heartbreak from past relationships.
Speaking candidly in an interview on Friday, March 21, 2025, the Kibra-born artist admitted that after experiencing “character development” and being turned down by women he genuinely loved, he chose to move on.
However, rather than wallowing in disappointment, Stevo has embraced his single status with what he describes as a “dragon-like” attitude—fierce and unapologetically independent.
“Nilipigwa tukio; sasa niko single. Wanadada walinikataa, sasa nikaamua mimi kama dragon, wacha wacha tu, niteme tu moto,” he said.
From Love to Loneliness
Stevo’s love life has always been a hot topic. He first introduced content creator Pritty Vishy as his girlfriend, only for the relationship to crash within months. Later, he publicly presented Grace as his wife, but that, too, ended in heartbreak.
Recently, the rapper shocked fans by revealing that one of his past partners cheated on him ten times, a betrayal so painful that he has now sworn off relationships until 2026.
“Yes, mwanamke amewahi kucheat kwangu. I’ve been cheated on ten times. Ee, niligongewa mara kumi. Mambo ya mapenzi nimechorea mpaka 2026,” Stevo confessed.
He went on to express his deep dislike for dishonesty in relationships, saying that nothing hurts him more than betrayal from someone he cares about.
“Siku hizi hakuna wamama waaminifu; acha nibaki single. Acha tu nikae single,” he added.
