Brian Mwenda, commonly referred to as the ‘fake lawyer,’ has dismissed claims that he won 26 legal cases, arguing that a lawyer of his age could not have achieved such a record.

Mwenda clarified that he worked as a consultant in a law firm and only gained public attention after a business deal went wrong, angering top solicitors. During an interview on the Iko nini podcast ,he said that he has never practiced law in Kenya but is currently pursuing a law degree at the University of London, a course fully sponsored by trade unionist Francis Atwoli.

However, he stated that he has no intention of practicing law in Kenya due to the controversy surrounding his credibility.

Addressing viral photos of him wearing a barrister’s gown, Mwenda claimed they were generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI). He insisted that the original image depicted him in a trench coat and was later edited to make it appear as though he was in legal attire
