Lilian Ng’ang’a, the former Machakos First Lady and celebrated author recently shut down critics who found it hard to believe that she has only dated two men in the last 15 years. And let’s just say, she did not hold back!
The 39-year-old, who recently broke it off with rapper Juliani, made the revelation during a candid sit-down with comedian-turned-TV-host Dr. Ofweneke.

Lilian shared that since the age of 25, she has only been romantically involved with two men.
However, the internet being the internet, some netizens weren’t buying it, unleashing a wave of skepticism and trolling.
Taking to her X account, she fired back with confidence, defending her love life while flexing a bit on her accomplishments.
“How can the FACT that I’ve been with only two men since I was 25 (I am turning 40 this year) make me all the nonsensical things you call me?” she wrote, clearly unimpressed by the naysayers.
“Foolish, foolish lot! I was lucky to run two elections and win (something some of you will never get to experience), so whether you like it or not, I’ll continue to share my opinion on different matters. This is just the beginning. Stay put or ship out.”

During her interview, Lilian got real about her dating history, revealing that she has never really been single.
“I have always had a boyfriend; I have never been in a phase where I was single,” she admitted. She opened up about her first love, a high school sweetheart, but their relationship turned rocky after she became an air hostess.
“He became insincere, and I had to end things. We laugh about it now, but at the time, it wasn’t easy.”
And for those wondering if money was the issue? Nope. “He had money and provided for us, so it wasn’t about finances. He was just insecure,” she clarified.
Not long after that breakup, she found herself in another relationship, this time with a white man.
Eventually, that, too, ended, and she later began dating former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, stepping into the spotlight as the county’s First Lady.

So why is she speaking up now? Simple—she’s done letting people define her.
“I used to be very quiet, but now I have a son and a legacy to protect, so I have to speak my truth. People don’t really know who I am, but I have been placed in a certain category,” she explained, adding that she even did some modeling back in the day.
Lilian has recently been on the spotlight as details of her love life started emerging raising the curiosity of netizens.
Just a few days ago, Lilian Ng’ang’a opened up about her speculated breakup with Juliani.
During an interview with Dr Ofweneke, the author and former Machakos County First Lady shared her perspective on relationships, noting that she knows when it is time to walk away.
She revealed that she does not believe in holding on to something that has run its course, instead choosing to appreciate the memories and lessons before moving on.
“I never struggle to just hold on to something when its time is over. I appreciate what we’ve had, memories or lessons, and then we just move on,” she shared.
