Tanzanian comedian and former Big Brother Africa winner Idris Sultan is done—absolutely done—talking about how he blew his Sh38 million ($300,000) prize money.
But just when he thought the conversation had died down, his ex, actress Wema Sepetu, had something to say, and Idris wasn’t about to let it slide.
For years, fans have speculated that Wema enjoyed Idris’s winnings before their relationship hit the rocks.

However, Wema has always insisted she never touched a dime of his jackpot.
“It hurts me a lot when people troll and accuse me of squandering his money,” she said in an earlier interview.
“If I got anything from him, it was a gift of Tom Ford perfume, nothing else, and he can testify to that. The one who enjoyed the money was Samantha (another of Idris’s exes), not me.”
But Idris wasn’t buying it. Speaking recently, he playfully fired back.
“It’s not true for her to say that she didn’t enjoy some of the money. Even if that’s the case, if we are honest and realistic, she must have spent at least Tsh100 of my winnings!“
That’s right—at least Tsh100, people. Let’s not get carried away.

But more than setting the record straight on Wema, Idris is just tired of the same old question about how he lost his millions.
“Am I the first person to lose money?” he asked. “Some people hanged themselves over losing Tsh1,000, but I wasted Tsh500 million and I’m still here. I survived, I’m doing good, I’m not badly off.”
Idris further added that he wanted people to shift the narrative: “Instead of asking how I lost the money, ask me how I bounced back! Ask me about my net worth! Which, by the way, I don’t know, but I’m okay.”
The comedian and professional photographer won Big Brother Africa: Hot Shots back in December 2014, earning him the hefty cash prize—and the nickname “Mr. Lover Man” for his, ahem, enthusiastic (sexual) behavior in the house.
After his win, he dated Wema Sepetu from late 2015 into 2016 before their relationship fizzled out.
As for Wema? The actress has had her fair share of high-profile relationships, including one with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, which even inspired a movie (Superstar).
She was also romantically linked to the late actor Steven Kanumba and admitted to terminating two pregnancies during their time together.
These days, Wema has moved on and is happily dating musician Whozu, with the pair going strong for nearly three years. She however recently stated that she does not want to get married, ever!
