Comedian Kedrick Mulamwa has taken to YouTube to share more details about his life as a father and his relationship with his daughter Keilah, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Carrol Muthoni.
Mulamwah revealed that the last time he saw his daughter, she was four months old, and since then, he has been denied access by her mother.
“I last saw my daughter Keilah when she was 4 months old. I was denied access from that day onwards. At one point, Carrol even posted a list of requirements before I could see Keilah, including not coming to her place.”
He explained that his efforts to see his daughter were unsuccessful as Carrol Sonie blocked him, leaving them with no means of communication.
“When someone blocks you, no calls go through… nothing happens, and it becomes difficult. How will you see her if you can’t talk to her?”
Addressing his previous statements about Keilah not being his child, Mulamwah clarified that he made those remarks to distance himself from the shame and accusations from his baby mama.
He also explained that Carrol had portrayed him as a deadbeat father in an interview with Dr. Ofweneke, while she was the one preventing him from seeing their child.
Mulamwah admitted that denying Keilah was a way to protect himself from the intense pressure and trolling he faced after Carrol’s initial videos following their breakup.
“I said that because I had to stay alive on my end; that’s why I had to say she is not my child, so you don’t judge me based on that. The pressure was overwhelming, and it was the only way I could survive. I was even thinking of doing something else, but I’ll leave that unsaid.”
The father of three shared that he has now come to an agreement with Carrol Sonie, and moving forward, he will be part of his daughter’s life.
