Kenyan singer George Muchai, popularly known as Madtraxx, has responded to claims that he physically abused his wife and mother of his children, Salma Hussein.

In an interview with Milele FM presenter Ankali Ray, Madtraxx however admitted that the couple had experienced a “toxic” phase as a couple in the past stating that Salma was seeking attention.

She just wants attention. They are old photos; we were in a toxic cycle. She is just looking for a way to grab my attention. We are no longer together. I have the kids. She disappeared. I do not know why she is trying to get everybody emotional, and she knows the truth. She hopes she will get a reaction from me. I no longer ride in that train,” Madtraxx stated.

On June 7, Salma Hussein shared several photos on Instagram showing what appeared to be evidence of severe physical abuse, including a black eye, swollen face, and hand bruises. Salma alleged she had been in an abusive relationship for a decade.

“Never have I thought I’ll be beaten in my life… but I married an animal!! Y’all superstar Madtraxx! My whole life I’m battling anxiety, fear, and trauma!! Just because of this guy!! #10 years with a woman abuser!” Salma shared.

She went ahead to even share a police report and a doctor’s report to prove her allegations.

In stark contrast to that situation, Madtraxx had just recently posted a loving tribute to his wife, stating, “Happy Anniversary to US MY Love! 5 years is such a Blessing. I love having you as my Queen through this journey. Love you.”

Salma’s response to this was to reveal the disturbing side of the superstar.

The allegations come just six months after the couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. The former Kansoul member and Salma tied the knot in a lavish private ceremony in 2018, attended by close family and friends, including their two daughters.
