Controversial Kenyan gospel musician Ringtone Apoko has opened up to his fans that he has planned his perfect wedding to the last detail except he is missing one thing – a bride!
Yep – you heard him right… he is missing the most important thing (or person) in a wedding.
“I am getting married next year. Infact I would like to send a message to the President and the CS that I am the one who sang the song called Talanta, to quickly complete the construction of Talanta Stadium. That is the venue of my wedding. I need it to be the first wedding held in the stadium,” Ringtone stated during an interview on Radio Maisha.
If that wedding were to happen, he would be following in the footsteps of Citizen TV journalist Stephen Letoo who held his lavish wedding at Narok stadium.
“Tafadhali waharakishe. Mi napanga mbele, so nataka serikali ili stadium iishe, nifanye harusi,” Ringtone added.
So what happens incase he doesn’t meet a potential bride on time? Well, Ringtone is confident the universe will smile on him and that he will meet a fine woman just in time for his grand wedding in 2025.
“Let me tell you, in life, unaanza kutembea safari ndio Mungu anaprovide. Kwa imani. Kama huamini mungu mbona huget hii point? Mambo ya mungu anapanga. Wacha nifanye plans, mungu will provide,” the Pamela hitmaker explained.
And to prove just how confident he is, Ringtone extended invites to his interviewers.
“I have invited you. Pilau will be in plenty muziki, hii pressure ya Nairobi mnadate mtu miaka mbili, si muoane! Mnadanganyana two years. I will date for 3 months. Mwezi wa tatu tumefanya harusi. God works in 3’s.”
“Yani sina mwanamke wa kuoa, si eti sijui ma dame, nawajua, lakini we are talking about a candidate to marry. Ndio sija pata. God will provide,” he concluded.
