Kenyan rapper King Kaka has addressed swirling rumors suggesting a rift between him and his wife, Nana Owiti.
Speculation sparked on social media alleging that Nana had sought asylum abroad and that she had taken the children with her. According to the grapevine, it is alleged that Nana declared her husband deceased while seeking refuge so that she could get Visas for her little ones.
The grapevine attributed infidelity by King Kaka as the reason for the couple separating.
Setting the record straight, King Kaka was forced to respond and urged caution amongst Kenyans when spreading such unverified information.
“I never clout chase, especially when it involves family. I initially hesitated to respond, but considering it involves my family, I feel compelled to address it,” the King stated.
“Nana is currently in the country, and our children are attending school here. It’s disheartening to hear such false claims circulating,” the rapper added.
King Kaka emphasized the importance of respect and mindfulness when creating content. He further cautioned against the dissemination of disrespectful or untrue narratives, highlighting the impact such rumors can have on the lives of those involved.
“Let’s not jeopardize the well-being of others in the pursuit of content creation. Baseless rumors and sensationalism only serve to harm relationships and spread unnecessary distress. Let’s uphold integrity and empathy in our storytelling,” he concluded.
