Chris Muriithi, the founder of Bold Network Africa, an advocacy and rights movement for the gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) community, has shared a cryptic message that has amused and intrigued many Kenyans.

Chris posted a cheeky video on her Instagram page with the caption, “Living my best entrepreneurship life because dating women prepared me to handle stress.”

This post comes a day after her ex-girlfriend, Michelle Ntalami, announced on social media that she had given her life to Christ and celebrated nine months of salvation.

Ntalami also deleted past photos from her social media accounts in an attempt to cleanse her past.

Chris and Ntalami were lovers a few years ago and had a highly publicized breakup on social media, where Ntalami accused Makena of infidelity.

Chris, a former BBC presenter previously went with the name Makena Njeri. In late 2022, she however changed her Instagram name to Chris Muriithi.

Chris identifies with the pronoun ‘They/Them’. The media personality came out as a member of the LGBTQI+ community in May 2021.

I remember for the first time in my life after very many years, I looked at the mirror and said to myself, ‘I am gay, I am unique, and this is my truth,” they said then.
