Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has spoken out after viral photos of him with a young beautiful lady circulated online exciting netizens.

The former governor has found himself on the lips of Kenyans for the better part of the week after the photos leaked.

In a recorded video, Oparanya confirmed that the photos are genuine and were taken with his “loved one.

He added that he was struggling to understand the interest people have in relation to the photo, saying they are decent.

“I have seen someone circulating genuine photos… those are genuine photos… I don’t know why someone would waste time trying to circulate them. I don’t know the interest people have when you’ve taken a photo with your loved one,” Oparanya quipped.

Oparanya also laughed off claims in sections of social media that he had been hospitalised after the undated photos were leaked.

He stated he was in good health and enjoying his time in Mombasa.

I have a family, a big family to protect. So those sending out fake news should stop. Here I am, I’m able to speak, I have no problem,” Oparanya concluded.
