Kenyans On X (formerly Twitter), are in mourning following reports of the death of user @Frank__Allen, who reportedly passed away due to alcohol poisoning.

The late @Frank__Allen had even put up a post on Twitter saying that he wasn’t getting sober despite trying to be.

The tragic news of the death was first shared by user @CaptainOchenge on the X platform.

@CaptainOchenge posted WhatsApp conversations between himself and a friend of the deceased where he was informed of the tragic death.

Hey, I think you know of the guy that sent you to bring me flowers…it’s unfortunate that he passed on yesterday morning,” read the message from the unidentified friend.

Oooops no I don’t know him. He just got my number from twitter. We’ve never talked again. I don’t even know how he looks. Am sorry for your loss,” CaptainOchenge responded.

Upon further inquiry about the cause of death, the lady friend revealed that it was alcohol poisoning.

Alcohol tu izi fake alibuy on Sunday evening (He bought fake alcohol on Sunday evening),” she said.

Kenyans on X have responded to his sudden demise, with some urging their followers to quit alcohol, while others shared their own experiences.

What is Alcohol Poisoning?

Alcohol poisoning can occur when alcohol is consumed faster than the body can process it. It can lead to serious illness, and may even require hospital treatment.

Symptoms of alcohol poisoning include vomiting, slurred speech, and a lack of coordination, for example, being unable to stand, walk, or pick things up.

Others symptoms include:

  • Feeling sick or feverish
  • Peeing or pooing yourself
  • Pale or blue-tinged skin – on black or brown skin this may be easier to see inside the lips, on the gums and under the fingernails
  • Slow or irregular breathing
  • Having a seizure or fit
  • Loss of consciousness, and more.

It’s important to recognize these symptoms and seek medical help if necessary.
