Former KTN presenter Jamal Gaddafi is counting his blessings after narrowly escaping a brush with death when his car was swept away by floods in Nairobi’s Parklands area.

In a recent update on social media, Jamal expressed his gratitude for being alive, attributing his survival to the swift action of well-wishers who rushed to his rescue during the terrifying ordeal.

Alhamdulillah. I narrowly escaped death this morning along First Parklands Avenue when my car was swept away by floods. I am lucky that a group of well-wishers quickly came to rescue me,” Jamal Gaddafi recounted.

He shared that he was coming from the hospital at the time of the accident and was only saved by the timely intervention of good Samaritans.

“I was on my way from the Hospital. I am deeply indebted to all the passers-by who took very little time to save me after the accident,” he added.

The media personality didn’t just breathe a sigh of relief; he also issued a heartfelt plea to Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja to prioritize the improvement of the city’s drainage systems.

I urge Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja to work on the drainage systems in Nairobi,” Jamal emphasized, highlighting the urgent need for action to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The incident involving Jamal Gaddafi is just one example of the havoc wreaked by the heavy rains across various parts of Kenya.

The Weatherman has issued warnings of intensified rainfall over the weekend, urging residents to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to stay safe amidst the challenging weather conditions.
