Jowie (real name Joseph Irungu) released a new song following the postponement of his sentencing for the murder of Nairobi businesswoman Monica Kimani.

The song titled “I Believe” premiered on YouTube shortly after the sentencing was postponed by Lady Justice Monica Kimani.

The song, which draws inspiration from the Bible verse Psalm 56:3 KJV, was released at noon on Friday, March 08.

In her judgment, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka stated that the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence, meeting the required threshold. After considering testimonies from 35 prosecution witnesses, the court concluded that Jowie was responsible for Monica Kimani’s murder.

Jowie was charged together with former TV presenter Jacque Maribe, who has since been acquitted of the murder charge by Justice Grace Nzioka.
