A funeral fundraiser for the late TikToker Brian Chira has amassed Ksh5 million within 48 hours of its launch.

Led by fellow TikToker Baba Talisha, the initiative garnered contributions from various users, aiming to provide the content creator with a dignified send-off.

Baba Talisha shared a screenshot celebrating the achievement, stating, “5M innit ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿซ…๐Ÿซ…๐Ÿซ…๐Ÿซ…๐Ÿซ….”

The fundraising effort gained momentum following a plea from Chira’s family, who appealed to Kenyans for assistance in burying their loved one.

“Tushirikiane pamoja.ย If you guys can focus. If you guys love Chira. Brian Chira is gone. Ata kama alikuwa ni rival wako Chira was a good guy. Do anything you canto help the family and make this go through,” the family appealed.

The late Chira was on record saying he was an orphan and was raised in a poor home by his grandmother.

Baba Talisha disclosed that the burial is scheduled for March 26, to take place in Githunguri, where Chira’s grandmother resides.

According to Chira’s grandmother, her last wish is for the late Tiktoker to be buried in his graduation gown.

Several celebrities, including musician Otile Brown and KRG the Don, have also rallied to support Chira’s family by assisting with funeral expenses.

Otile Brown has even offered to perform at Chira’s burial ceremony, while KRG volunteered to cover the burial costs.

May the late Chira rest in peace.
